While the force of the wind can be harnessed using wind mills, solar panels fitted in houses or over a large area can trap the sunlight which can either be used for cooking or generating electricity. Hydroelectricity is also produced in many parts of the world utilizing the force of water from rivers and waterfalls. Another renewable energy source is geothermal heat which is produced at the core of the earth and is expected to last as long as the planet survives.
